Men’s and women’s doubles run through the fortnight and finish on finals weekend. The men’s doubles draw is made on Wednesday, September 2. Junior and wheelchair events fill the second week. Court assignments appear in the daily order of play the evening before.

Day sessions start at 11:00 AM ET on the outer courts and at 11:30 AM inside Arthur Ashe, with a noon start on opening day. Night sessions begin at 7:00 PM ET. The closing four days run to their own times, listed in the table above.
Day and night tickets for Arthur Ashe are sold separately. A grounds pass is a third ticket and covers Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and the outside courts. It is the value option in week one, when dozens of matches run at once. Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong both have roofs, so headline matches survive rain while the outside courts stop.

- No Sinner. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner withdrew on August 21 with a knee injury. It is the first major he has missed since Wimbledon 2019, and it lifts Zverev to the top seeding.
- Alcaraz returns. The defending champion is seeded second and plays his first tournament since a wrist injury in April.
- Djokovic chases 25. A fifth US Open title would give him a record 25th Grand Slam singles trophy.
- The WTA No. 1 race. Sabalenka, Rybakina, Pegula and Gauff can all finish the fortnight at No. 1. Rybakina takes the ranking if she reaches the semi-finals.
- Other withdrawals. Jack Draper, Joao Fonseca and Emma Raducanu are also out. Stan Wawrinka took a late wild card.
- Farewells. Venus Williams, 46, holds a main draw singles wild card. Gael Monfils plays the final Grand Slam of his career.
- Mixed doubles. Serena Williams played the short format event on a wild card with Carlos Alcaraz. The pair went out in the quarter-finals.

The purse is $108 million, up about 20 percent on the record $90 million paid in 2025. It is the first Grand Slam to pass $100 million.

Men and women earn the same at every stage. Doubles and mixed doubles champions take $1,000,000 per team. The first round cheque rose 27 percent, the biggest jump anywhere in the table.

Eight days carry free grounds admission, the most in tournament history. Seven were the Fan Week days from August 23 to 29, which held qualifying, Arthur Ashe Kids Day and the Mixed Doubles Championship. The eighth is still to come: Thursday, September 10, marked as Open For All Day.
September 10 is women’s semi-final day, so the Arthur Ashe session is ticketed, but the grounds and outer courts are open to anyone. Men’s doubles semi-finals, wheelchair tennis and junior matches all play that day.
