No form guide exists for a first visit to a new country, the crowd is neutral, and the Saints carry a home label they will not feel.
- Cowboys at Eagles, Monday 8:15 p.m. An NFC East rivalry in Philadelphia and the tiebreaker game in most pools, so it carries double weight. Division records rarely follow the standings.
- Packers at Lions, Sunday 4:25 p.m. An NFC North meeting in Detroit, with the Lions coming off their bye and a fortnight of preparation. Teams returning from a bye cut both ways, rested or rusty.
- Chiefs at Seahawks, Sunday 8:20 p.m. The only Sunday night game, in Seattle, one of the loudest road trips in the league. Prime time draws heavy pick agreement, which makes it cheap when everyone is right and expensive when they are not.
One practical tip. Three of the four bye teams are AFC sides, so the AFC half of your sheet is thinner than the NFC half this week. If your pool weights divisional games or runs a conference side bet, check the split before you set the rules.
