Key Matchups to Circle

Week 1 at Tennessee (Sep 13). Robert Saleh, who coached the Jets from 2021 until his firing in October 2024, took over the Titans in January 2026. The opener puts him across the field from the team that fired him. Both clubs finished 3-14 last season.

Week 2 vs Green Bay (Sep 20). The home opener at MetLife Stadium brings in a Packers team that went 9-7-1 and reached the playoffs last season. The club publishes single game ticket details for every home date.

Week 10 vs Buffalo (Nov 15). The Bills visit the Meadowlands in the first of two AFC East meetings. The rematch closes the season in Orchard Park.

Week 16 vs New England (Dec 27). The Patriots finished 14-3 in 2025 and are the toughest home opponent on the board. The Jets home slate is a tale of two halves: the first four home opponents combined for a .360 winning percentage last season, the final four averaged .721.

Jets Bye Week and the Primetime Shutout

The Jets bye falls in Week 13 on Sunday, December 6. That is the latest bye the franchise has been given since the modern bye week format started in 1990. The team returns home to face Denver in Week 14.

There are no Monday, Thursday, Sunday night, or Saturday night games on the 2026 Jets schedule. It is the first time since 1981, a span of 45 years, that the Jets have been left out of primetime entirely. Five teams were shut out of national windows this year: the Jets, Raiders, Cardinals, Titans, and Dolphins. All five finished at or near the bottom of the standings in 2025, and the Jets went 3-14.

That can still change. Weeks 5 through 17 fall under flexible scheduling, so a winning stretch could move a game into a Sunday night or Thursday night slot. The Week 18 finale in Buffalo has no fixed date yet. Three Week 18 games are played on Saturday, January 9 and the other 13 on Sunday, January 10. The NFL assigns the date, kickoff time and network only after Week 17 is complete.

How to Watch the New York Jets Schedule on TV and Streaming

With no primetime games, the 2026 Jets TV picture is simple. CBS carries 10 games and FOX carries 6. The Week 18 finale is still to be assigned. Preseason games air on WCBS locally, with the first two also on NFL Network nationally.

Here is where each option fits if you want to stream instead of using an antenna or cable box:

Paramount+The CBS game shown in your local marketCheapest option for fans inside the New York market

If you live in the New York metro area, a free over the air antenna picks up both CBS and FOX, which covers all 16 currently assigned Jets games. Week 18 is still unassigned and flexible scheduling could move a late game elsewhere, so treat that as the picture today rather than a guarantee. Out of market fans need NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube TV, since local affiliates will carry a different game.
