What is Inside the US Open Tennis 2026 Bracket PDF

  • Every first-round match numbered 1 to 64, so you can check it against a live scoreboard
  • Round dates printed inside each column header
  • Seed numbers, wildcard tags and country codes on every named player
  • A ruled writing line under every name, in every round
  • A locator line at the top of each page showing which seeds are in that quarter
  • Light striping only, so it stays clear in black and white

Why Five Pages Instead of One

Put all 128 players on one sheet and each writing line drops to about seven points tall. You cannot fit a surname and a score on that. Four quarter pages roughly double the line height. Use the locator line at the top of each page to find your player, then print that single sheet if you want.

Why Some Slots Say “Qualifier”

That is correct, not a mistake in the file. Qualifying ran from August 24 to 27. Qualifiers and lucky losers get placed in the bracket after the main draw is published. The men’s sheet has a few more blank slots than the women’s, because late withdrawals open up lucky loser places. Write those names in when they are confirmed.

How to Print the US Open Draw 2026 PDF

Best Paper Size and Orientation

Print landscape. Portrait shrinks the names past reading size. Set scaling to 100 percent on US Letter, or Fit to Page on A4. There is no separate A4 file, because the same sheet handles both.

Print All Five Pages or Just One Quarter

Print all five for the full bracket. If you only follow one player, print their quarter. Page 5 also works on its own as a semifinals, finals and seed reference card.

Print in Black and White to Save Ink

Choose grayscale. The seed numbers, match numbers and round headers all stay clear, and you save colour ink across a fifteen-day tournament.

Laminate It for a Reusable Wall Bracket

Laminate the sheets or slide them into clear pockets, then use a dry-erase marker between rounds. Tape the four quarter pages in a row and put page 5 at the end.

The Withdrawal That Reshaped the Men’s Draw

World number one Jannik Sinner withdrew on August 21 with a right knee injury. It is his first missed major since 2019. Every man in the field moved up one seeding place.

That puts Alexander Zverev on top of the bracket. He is world number two and won Roland Garros this year. Carlos Alcaraz defends his title from the number two spot after four months out with a right wrist injury from the Barcelona Open in April. He played no singles warm-up event first.

How the Four Quarters Break Down

Use this to work out which page you need.

QuarterMen’s seedsWomen’s seeds
Quarter 1Zverev (1), de Minaur (6)Sabalenka (1), Noskova (6)
Quarter 2Auger-Aliassime (3), Cobolli (5)Pegula (3), Muchova (7)
Quarter 3Djokovic (4), Medvedev (7)Gauff (4), Andreeva (5)
Quarter 4Alcaraz (2), Shelton (8)Rybakina (2), Swiatek (8)

Alcaraz and Djokovic landed in the same half, so they can only meet in the semifinals. Rybakina and Swiatek share a quarter, which sets up a possible last-eight meeting.

First-Round Matches Worth Circling

  • Venus Williams vs Sofia Kenin. Two wildcards. Williams is playing at 46.
  • Stan Wawrinka vs Matteo Berrettini. A former champion against a former Wimbledon finalist.
  • Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Arthur Fils (10). The hardest opener any seed drew.
  • Marin Cilic vs Andrey Rublev (23). The 2014 champion against a top-25 seed.
  • Daria Kasatkina vs Paula Badosa. A top-30 pairing in round one.

US Open 2026 Round Dates

These dates also print inside each column header on your bracket.

RoundDates
First roundAugust 30, 31, September 1
Second roundSeptember 2 and 3
Third roundSeptember 4 and 5
Round of 16September 6 and 7
QuarterfinalsSeptember 8 and 9
Women’s semifinalsSeptember 10
Men’s semifinalsSeptember 11
Women’s finalSeptember 12
Men’s finalSeptember 13

Write the winner’s surname in the slot to the right and the score on the same line. When a quarter page reaches its last column, carry that name over to page 5. The labels there show you which semifinal it feeds. Rain can move play, so treat the dates as windows.

Ways to Use Your Printable Bracket

  • Family bracket night. Give everyone a blank sheet before the first round and compare picks on finals weekend.
  • Office wall chart. Pin the four quarter pages in a row and let people initial their picks.
  • Classroom activity. A 128-player draw halves seven times to reach one champion. It teaches powers of two nicely.
  • Watch party scorecard. Print a few copies, hand out pens, and let guests track the results themselves.

US Open Tennis Draw 2026 FAQ

When was the 2026 US Open draw released?

Both singles draws were made on Thursday, August 27, 2026 and published at noon Eastern. That was three days before main draw play. Seeding came from the ATP and WTA rankings of August 24. Qualifying ran alongside Fan Week from August 24 to 27.

Is the US Open bracket PDF free?

Yes. No sign-up, no email address and no payment. Click the button for the file you want and it opens or saves straight to your device.

Does the PDF include both the men’s and women’s draws?

They are separate downloads, not one combined file. Each one covers its own 128-player field across five pages. That is what keeps the writing lines big enough to actually use.

Can I print the bracket on A4 paper?

Yes, from the same file. It is built at US Letter with wide margins, so choosing Fit to Page on A4 scales it down slightly and prints everything. Set your printer to landscape first.

Why is the bracket split across five pages?

One sheet would leave each writing line around seven points tall, too small to write on. Four quarter pages double that height. Page 5 then collects the semifinals, the final and the seed list.

Why does Alexander Zverev have the number one seed?

Jannik Sinner, the world number one, withdrew on August 21 with a right knee injury. Every man in the field moved up one seeding position. So Zverev tops the draw and Alcaraz defends his title from number two.

How many players are in the US Open main draw?

There are 128 in the men’s singles and 128 in the women’s. Each field holds 8 wildcards and 16 qualifying places. Seven rounds run from the first round to the final, with the field halving at every stage.

What do the numbers beside each first-round match mean?

They run from 1 to 64 across the four quarter pages, and they identify each first-round match. Use them to match your printed sheet against a live scoreboard or the order of play without counting rows.

Your US Open draw 2026 PDF is set for the next two weeks. Print it landscape, stick it somewhere you walk past, and fill it in as the results land.

Final tip: use pencil for the first round. Week one at Flushing Meadows always breaks a few brackets.
