Three preseason games, all on Friday nights. Denver opens in Atlanta, then hosts Green Bay and Minnesota at Empower Field at Mile High. All three air locally on 9NEWS, and NFL Network picks up the two home games nationally.

Preseason is where the depth chart gets settled: the offensive line rotation, the backup quarterback job and the last few roster spots. Starters usually play sparingly, so the value is in the second and third units.

A few notes on the grid. Week 12 at Pittsburgh is a Black Friday afternoon game at 3:00 PM ET, the first in franchise history. Week 16 falls on Christmas Day. Weeks 6 and 12 are locked, but the Sunday afternoon games from Week 5 through Week 17 are flex eligible, so a CBS window can be moved to Sunday or Monday night.

Weeks 17 and 18 are held back entirely. Week 17 at New England lands on Saturday, January 2 or Sunday, January 3, and the Saturday night window that day is a Peacock exclusive.

Week 18 lands on Saturday, January 9 or Sunday, January 10, and Netflix holds a Saturday game that day.

Key Matchups on the 2026 Denver Broncos Schedule

Ten of Denver’s 17 games come against teams that reached the 2025 playoffs, five at home and five on the road. These are the ones to circle:

  • Week 1, at Chiefs, Mon Sep 14: the league’s Monday night finale to opening week, and the first time Denver has ever opened a season on the road at Kansas City. The 2026 season itself kicks off five days earlier, on Wednesday, September 9.
  • Week 3, vs Rams, Sun Sep 27: Sunday Night Football at Mile High against a 12-5 NFC contender.
  • Week 6, vs Seahawks, Thu Oct 15: the defending Super Bowl champions visit on Thursday night. Seattle beat New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.
  • Week 8, vs Chiefs, Sun Nov 1: the back half of the Kansas City series just 48 days after the opener, with a season sweep on the line.
  • Week 12, at Steelers, Fri Nov 27: Black Friday on Prime Video, an afternoon kickoff on a day with no competition.
  • Week 13, vs Dolphins, Sun Dec 6: Jaylen Waddle faces the team that traded him to Denver in the offseason.
  • Week 16, vs Bills, Fri Dec 25: a Christmas Day rematch of the divisional round, which Denver won 33-30 in overtime.
  • Week 17, at Patriots: the AFC Championship rematch. New England won 10-7 in Denver in January.
  • Week 18, vs Chargers: the division finale, the same matchup that closed Denver’s 2025 regular season with a 19-3 win at Mile High.

Add the two dates with the Raiders in Weeks 11 and 15 and Denver’s AFC West slate spans the whole calendar rather than piling up in December.

How to Watch the Denver Broncos on TV and Streaming in 2026

CBS carries the bulk of the schedule with nine games, since Denver is an AFC team and CBS holds the AFC package. The rest splits across national windows: Prime Video has two, and NBC, FOX, Netflix and ESPN with ABC have one each.

Week 13 against Miami sits on FOX rather than CBS, which looks wrong for an AFC matchup but is a routine cross flex the league has allowed since 2014. Weeks 17 and 18 are still unassigned.

If you have cut cable, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV and DIRECTV carry CBS, FOX, NBC and ESPN, which covers 12 of the 17 scheduled games. Fubo got NBC back in June 2026 after a seven month blackout, but affiliates are still rolling out market by market, so confirm your local NBC station is live before you count on it for Week 3.

Each network also sells a standalone app: Paramount+ for the nine CBS games, Peacock for Sunday night, FOX One for the Week 13 Dolphins game and the ESPN app for Week 1. Prime Video handles Thursday and Black Friday, and Christmas Day against Buffalo is on Netflix. NFL+ adds local and primetime games on phones and tablets.

NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube carries the out of market Sunday afternoon games on CBS and FOX, which is 10 of Denver’s 17, but none of the national windows.

Every game is also on the Broncos Radio Network, with flagship station KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM in Denver.

What Denver is Working With in 2026

Sean Payton is in his fourth season as head coach and George Paton, who signed a five year extension in May 2026, is in year six as general manager. The offensive staff around them was rebuilt.

Davis Webb replaced Joe Lombardi as offensive coordinator, Logan Kilgore moved up to quarterbacks coach and Ronald Curry arrived from Buffalo to coach receivers. Vance Joseph stays as defensive coordinator after a 2025 unit that finished third in points allowed and second in yards allowed.

Bo Nix enters year three at quarterback, back on the field after the ankle surgery that ended his season in the divisional round and pushed Jarrett Stidham into the AFC Championship Game. The headline addition is Jaylen Waddle, acquired from Miami in a package built around Denver’s 2026 first round pick. J.K. Dobbins re-signed at running back. John Franklin-Myers left for Tennessee.

On paper the road is manageable. Denver’s 2026 opponents went 148-141 last season, a .512 winning percentage that ranks 15th toughest of the 32 teams. That is a softer road than Kansas City, Las Vegas and the Chargers face in the same division.
