The last three dates are still open. Week 16 at Atlanta is one of four games the league is holding for that weekend, two of which will kick off Saturday, December 26 at 4:30 and 8:00 PM ET on NFL Network. Those dates are confirmed no later than immediately after Week 14.

Week 17 against the Rams sits in the same position for Saturday, January 2, where the doubleheader runs on NBC and Peacock. Week 18 at New Orleans is announced only once Week 17 finishes.

Earlier kickoffs can move too. Sunday afternoon games shift between 1:00, 4:05 and 4:25 PM ET, or into a night window, on at least 12 days notice. That drops to 6 days for Sunday night moves in Weeks 14 to 17. Compare the rest of the league on our 2026 NFL schedule page.

Where the Bucs Stand Heading Into Week 1

Tampa Bay went 8 and 9 last season and finished second in a three way NFC South tiebreaker, with Carolina taking the division on head to head record. It was the first time the Bucs missed the playoffs since 2019. This is a different roster.

  • No Mike Evans for the first time since 2013. He signed with San Francisco in March after 12 seasons in Tampa. Chris Godwin Jr. leads a receiver room that also carries Emeka Egbuka, Jalen McMillan, Tez Johnson, rookie Ted Hurst III and Kameron Johnson.
  • Lavonte David retired after 14 seasons and 1,714 career tackles, all 215 games with the Buccaneers.
  • Vita Vea signed a two year extension on August 20, ending the trade request he made in late July and keeping the nose tackle in Tampa through 2027.
  • Zac Robinson runs the offense, the fifth coordinator in five years under Todd Bowles. He is adding wide zone concepts to the gap scheme run game. Danny Smith arrives for special teams after 13 seasons in the same role at Pittsburgh.
  • Baker Mayfield is playing out his deal. Talks ended when camp opened, so 2026 is the final year of his three year, $100 million contract. Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels, from Kansas, beat out Jake Browning to become the only backup quarterback on the 53 man roster, with Easton Stick on the practice squad.
  • The roster leans on the trenches, with 10 offensive linemen and seven interior defensive linemen but only eight defensive backs. First round edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. is over an AC joint sprain and left tackle Tristan Wirfs is past the hamstring injury that slowed his camp.
  • Watch the injury report before kickoff. Egbuka (toe) and McMillan (knee) were day to day in the week before the opener, and linebacker Christian Rozeboom is dealing with a foot injury.

Key Matchups, Bye Week and Primetime Games

The season has an unusual shape. After the trip to Cincinnati, Tampa Bay plays three straight at home against the Browns, Vikings and Packers, then travels to Dallas on a short week. The payoff is a ten day gap after Thursday, October 8.

Three nights stand out:

  • Week 5, Thursday, October 8 at the Cowboys, 8:15 PM on Prime Video. The first national look at Zac Robinson’s offense.
  • Week 9, Sunday, November 8 at the Bears, 8:20 PM on NBC. Sunday Night Football at Soldier Field.
  • Week 12, Monday, November 30 vs the Panthers, 8:15 PM on ESPN. A division game in Tampa. This is one of the Monday nights with no ABC simulcast, so an antenna will not pick it up.

NFC South games decide the season

Carolina comes in Weeks 7 and 12, the Falcons in Weeks 8 and 16, and the Saints in Weeks 15 and 18. Four of the six land in the final seven weeks, and the season ends at the Superdome, the kind of finish that settles tiebreakers. Both Atlanta games carry a subplot: Robinson ran the Falcons offense in 2024 and 2025 before Tampa Bay hired him.

A late bye in Week 10

The bye falls on the weekend of November 15, after nine straight games. That is late enough to help with injury recovery but it means no breather through September and October. The Bucs return at Detroit, then play five NFC opponents in the last seven weeks.

How to Watch the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Schedule on TV and Streaming

The network split is FOX seven games, CBS four, and one each on Prime Video, NBC and ESPN, with Weeks 16, 17 and 18 unassigned. FOX carries most of it because Tampa Bay is an NFC team, and CBS picks up the games against AFC opponents.

In the Tampa Bay market the over the air channels are FOX on WTVT 13, CBS on WTSP 10 and NBC on WFLA 8. ABC on WFTS 28 has no Buccaneers game this year.

A digital antenna therefore covers 12 of the 14 games that already have a network, and 13 in practice, because the league’s media contracts require Thursday and Monday night games to air on a free broadcast station in both teams’ markets. Only the Week 12 Monday nighter, an ESPN exclusive, needs a subscription.
