All 32 NFL Teams by Division & Conference (2026)

The National Football League has 32 teams split into two conferences: the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). Each conference holds four divisions, and each division holds exactly four teams.

Nothing changed for 2026. No team relocated, no team changed its name, and the eight division structure is the same one the league has used since 2002. Several clubs did unveil new logos or uniforms for 2026, including the Rams, Titans, Falcons, Ravens and Commanders, but those are brand refreshes only and the team names are untouched.

What Is New for the 2026 NFL Season

The team list is unchanged, but a few things around it are worth knowing before you print:

  • The Buffalo Bills open their inaugural season at the new Highmark Stadium. They travel to Houston in Week 1, so the first regular season game in the new building is the Week 2 home opener against Detroit on Thursday, September 17.
  • The Houston Texans’ home takes back the Reliant Stadium name in August 2026. It opened as Reliant Stadium in 2002 and had carried the NRG Stadium name since 2014.
  • The Tennessee Titans play their final season in the current Nissan Stadium before moving into the new enclosed building, which keeps the Nissan Stadium name, for 2027.
  • The Jacksonville Jaguars play at a reduced EverBank Stadium capacity of 42,507 while renovations continue, which is why they host two of this year’s London games.
  • A record nine international games run across seven countries, four continents and eight stadiums. Melbourne and Paris host regular season games for the first time, Rio de Janeiro becomes the second Brazilian city to host after São Paulo in 2024 and 2025, and London takes three games alongside stops in Madrid, Munich and Mexico City.
  • The regular season stays at 17 games per team. The current labor agreement runs through 2030 and specifies 17 games, and no formal negotiations on an 18 game season have begun.
